I can pick subjects just as fast using C1's Magic Brush and refine the selection using a Luma Mask. I keep an eye on Lr (as I have it with my Lr / Ph subscription), and the AI is impressive, but it's not perfect many times, it doesn't pick the subject very well. The limitation is B&W some styles and presets are unavailable, but many are. Then right-click on the layer and navigate to Apply Adjustments > Custom Styles (or Built-in Styles, Built-in Presets, Custom Presets ) and select the style or preset you want. I find C1 does a better job for my needs.īut it does have that all you have to do is create an empty layer and add a gradient to the layer. I have used Lr since it was originally released I'm very glad to have gotten away from it as I never really liked it's tool layout. If you like Lr, then use Lr! Not sure what the complaint is as Lr doesn't even have true layers it uses stacked masks which are conceptually layers.
